Porn Isn’t Just for the Dudes

It wasn’t too long ago that I thought porn was something only guys struggle with. Now I know much differently. Porn can be a huge struggle for just about any age demographic, either gender, any ethnicity, etc. It’s not a struggle relegated just to the guys. And because of this, the havoc porn wreaks is growing.

Porn has become so easily accessible and can be found without even trying – many children are discovering porn at earlier and earlier ages. These children become teenagers, who become adults. And many became addicted through something as innocent as an accidental click from a YouTube video.

But what’s the big deal? How does it hurt anyone?

Oh, it hurts, alright. In many different ways, it hurts. Pornography decreases our sexual satisfaction. It affects our relationships and lowers our view of women (or men). It affects us socially and desensitizes us to cruelty. It never satisfies but creates a gaping hole that claims satisfaction will be found with more…porn.
